Choose which reminders this book sends and when they arrive.

Notifications

Allow notifications turns reminders on for this device. If the system blocks them, the row says so and offers to ask again; you may need to allow them in the device's settings. Send a test notification checks that a reminder actually reaches you — it arrives about 30 seconds later, even with the app in the background.

On the web there is no server to send reminders while the app is closed. Open the app to catch up: the bell and the While you were away message list anything you missed.

Remind me about

• Plans due — a reminder before each planned entry. A plan can set its own lead time in its editor; the others use the default below.
• Follow-ups — on the follow-up date of a flagged transaction.
• Automatic entries — when a plan is entered for you.

Delivery

• Default reminder — on the due date, or 1 day, 3 days or a week before.
• Reminder time — the time of day reminders fire.
• Quiet hours — reminders that fall inside the window wait until it ends.
• Show details in notifications — when off, system notifications only say that something is due, without payee or amount, so nothing private shows on a locked screen.
