Transactions screen

Transactions

The ledger view for every booked, pending, and unaccepted movement across your accounts. Filters, search, and selection all live here.

Header icons

  • Search — filter the visible rows by payee, memo, or amount.
  • Filters — narrow by account, category, classification, or status.
  • Sort — flip between date and payee ordering.
  • Select rows — enter multi-select for bulk-edit (recategorise, re-account, reconcile, delete).
  • New transaction — add a fresh entry; the active account is pre-filled from your last visit.

Filter chips

  • Date rangeWeek, Month, Quarter, Year, Custom. The chevron buttons on either side step backward / forward by one period. The picker's Quick tab also offers Timeline window — one tap snaps the list back to the timeline strip's current window.
  • Custom — reveals a date-pair picker below the chips.
  • AmountOver, Under, or Between an amount. The filter looks at the amount's size and ignores its sign, so one range covers spending and income alike — combine it with the Type row (Income / Expenses) to pick a direction.
  • Account — a multi-select chip strip with an accent dot per account; tap + for the full list when more than 4 don't fit inline.
  • Payee — same idiom, only shown when a payee filter is in effect (e.g. arrived here from the Payees screen).

Status

Four states form a ladder; the row picks up a faint background tint that gets warmer the further right it sits:

  • Unreconciled (grey dot) — typed into the app, not yet submitted to your bank in any form.
  • Pending (blue dot) — already entered in your e-banking; the bank hasn't cleared it yet.
  • Cleared (amber dot) — the bank has cleared / posted the transaction.
  • Reconciled (green tick) — you've matched the row against a bank statement via the Reconcile flow.

The ladder is one-way in normal use: editing the Status chip on the transaction editor lets you move up or down freely, but the reconcile flow only ever promotes.

Each row also carries a small tappable status glyph next to its date ( entered · pending · cleared): one tap flips Entered/Pending → Cleared and back — no editor needed. The ✓✓ glyph on reconciled rows is locked; those change only through the editor's explicit "Edit anyway".

Tips

  • Tap a row to edit; long-press to enter selection mode without using the header icon.
  • On the web, hovering a row reveals Duplicate and Delete buttons at its top-right — the duplicate opens the editor pre-filled for review; the delete also removes a transfer's partner leg.
  • The selection bar offers Mark cleared (sweeps the whole selection to Cleared — reconciled rows are skipped) and, for a single selected row, Duplicate.
  • Filtered down to zero rows? The empty state offers Search all dates — it widens just the date range and keeps your other filters, the usual fix when a payee's last entry predates the current period.
  • The Net total row at the bottom of the list respects whatever filters are active.
  • Splits show a small pill — tap to expand the legs.
  • Transfers between two of your own accounts show / arrows in front of the account name.
