Report settings
The settings panel of an open report decides which transactions it counts and how it lays them out. Every change previews at once; nothing is stored until you save.
Date range
The range pill picks the period: a quick choice such as This month or Year to date, a custom pair of dates, or Follow timeline window so the report moves with the timeline strip. The arrows beside the pill step to the previous or next period.
Accounts, categories and payees
Chips limit the report to some accounts, categories or payees, or to one of your classification axes. No selection means everything. Where offered, Amount keeps rows over, under or between amounts, the status chip chooses which entries count, and the toggles hide uncategorised rows or zero balances.
Grouping and view
Group by and Pivot choose what the rows are; the view switch above the chart shows the same data as a table, bars, areas or another chart the report supports. Sorting and the search field apply to the table.
Saving and resetting
- Save keeps the current settings with the report, so it opens this way next time.
- Save as stores them as a new report under Personal.
- Reset to defaults asks first, then returns the report to the settings it came with and clears what you saved.
